The decisions, fixes, and execution behind the result.
Who Was the Client?
A professional services business with a worldwide audience: organic visitors come from over 170 countries, led by the United States. Client details are anonymized to protect confidentiality.
What Was the Challenge?
When work started in February 2025, the site's organic traffic was close to flat. Search was not yet a meaningful source of visitors for a business that could serve clients in many countries.
What Was the Strategy?
Grew the site's link profile through ongoing link building, so its pages had the authority to compete.
Added new pages and expanded existing ones through content marketing, covering the topics the site's audience was searching for.
Fixed the technical SEO issues that held pages back from being crawled, indexed, and ranked properly.
Optimized key pages for AI search, so answer engines like Google's AI Overviews and ChatGPT could understand and cite them.
What Were the Results?
- Estimated organic traffic grew from a near-flat line to 93,800 visits a month
- Traffic stepped up sharply at the end of June 2025 and kept climbing through October
- 19,600 keywords ranking, 715 of them in Google's top three
- The site is cited in 57 Google AI Overview answers across 23 pages, and 40 ChatGPT answers across 28 pages
Impact Metrics
- 93,800 estimated monthly organic visits by October 2025
- 1,900 referring domains, up 392 in the last month alone
- 715 keywords in Google's top three positions
- Domain Rating 46 in Ahrefs
Why Did This Work?
Links, content, technical SEO, and AI search work were run together from the start instead of one after another. Authority from new links helped the new and improved pages rank, the technical fixes let Google crawl and index them, and the AI search work made the same pages easy for answer engines to cite.
All traffic figures are Ahrefs estimates, not the site's own analytics.
